Who We Are

Peninsula Planning Group (PPG) was founded in 2024 to serve as a connection point for the reciprocal exchange of knowledge between professionals and academics who work with the built environment. Our exploration deals in the fields of community planning, public administration, urban design, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture and many others.

Our vision is to create a network of built environment leaders who believe that solutions to our most vexing problems are best discovered through rigorous dialogue. Starting in 2024, PPG will produce essays and podcasts on this website representing a variety of perspectives on a range of topics. We hope that our website serves as an opportunity for our contributors to express their thoughts, feature their work and learn from their peers. We do not expect everyone to agree on anything that is shared through this medium. In fact, constructive debate is what we seek most.

In addition to creating a network based on rigorous dialogue, PPG also offers planning consulting services. We believe that communities are most capable of implementing quality projects when they are equipped with quality data: both qualitative and quantitative.

Qualitatively, the planners at PPG understand planning as a grassroots effort. This means that members of the public, representing various views, contribute to a shared vision of the future. Quantitatively, PPG provides maps and easily understood data points that are critical in the decision making process.
